Ethically sourced
through fair trade

Our shea butter is certified organic and fair trade, sourced exclusively from small, women-owned cooperatives in West Africa. By supporting these communities, we ensure sustainable harvesting practices that empower families while preserving the natural integrity of the Karite tree.

How shea butter
is produced

Shea Butter comes from the nut of the Karite tree, which grows across West Africa. Once a year, the tree produces its fruit, the Shea nut, which is handpicked, boiled, and pressed to extract its precious oils. These oils are then carefully solidified into raw, creamy shea butter. At Dr. Woods, we use only raw, organic shea butter to retain the highest level of its natural therapeutic properties.

Why shea butter
is effective for everyone

Rich in fatty acids and vitamins A, E, and F, shea butter supports healthy collagen production, soothes irritations, and acts as a natural UV protector. Its creamy, restorative properties make it an effective treatment for skin irritations and inflammatory conditions.
